As of today, I’m weirdly onto my 4th “850 model” motorized product from three entirely different manufacturers.
First was the Suzuki GS850L purchased during Air Force basic training -similar to pictured sans the 70's style back rest.
Next up was the 186k mile Volvo 850GLT. The 850 was slow and had a dash held in by three woodscrews, but it carried me through great experiences....including a lesson on “how to sell a car to a car-flipper for thousands less than it’s worth without regretting it,,, ”
Next was/is the Volvo 850 Turbo wagon which has the dubious distinction of being the cheapest, most expensive, least, and most reliable car I’ve ever owned-all at the same time.
Today it seems a Bmw 850 CI V12 6 speed followed my dad home. One of 105 CI’s with a 6 speed according to the 8 coupe registry. We’re doing a complete inspection soon and getting build data on the car to make it right...first and foremost loosing the TSW wheels for a set of Parallels.
If you have any “850 model” products to recommend, please feel free to comment on them as I’m apparently in the market for the long haul.

THIS. I flew the Pilatus PC-12 for a charter company a few years ago, and as nice as that plane is I still wanna get into a TBM when lightning strikes and my Powerball number hits. (But it’ll be a TBM900 which kinda doesn’t fit with your narrative. Sowwy.)

Yep, not surprisingly...it has my number. Looks like a lot of fun!

I’ve only ever seen the one, and that was years ago. Too young to appreciate it for what it was. I was only interested in my uncles Biplanes at the time.

And to think I came here to make a joke about needing four 8 Series to make sure one always works...

Yes, the man has two of them in excellent condition. Also has a variety of interesting Audi Quattro and Mercedes.
